Finishing up week 3 with mixed results. For this week, I did not lose any weight. I also did not gain any weight. I am still happy to be under 320 pounds. I has been a stressful week. As I am paying attention to what my body is telling me, I am learning more about how my body responds to how I treat it.
Breakfast is Important
This week, I found myself trying to accomplish things without first taking care of myself. When I skipped breakfast, the rest of the day became an eating frenzy. All I wanted to do was eat All day long and all night long.
When I started by day with eggs or something high in protein, my day was much more level and the desire to eat, was not nearly as annoying. I have spent the most of my life not eating breakfast, usually because I wanted to sleep in more. This is not going to work if I want to lose weight and make a change for myself.
Still Working on the Water
It has been great to go almost 2 weeks without any soda. I can’t say that I don’t miss it. I crave it almost all the time. I then saw the Crystal Pepsi is making a comeback and all I could think of was: “I picked a bad time to stop drinking soda.
Water is still my major staple, unless I am drinking some milk. It just seems to be a struggle to drink what I am expected to. I am happy though that I only wake up once in the night to go to the bathroom, was afraid drinking all the extra water would have me up every hour on the hour.
Tried Something New
In an attempt to eat healthier, we decided to try something new. We had banana and egg pancakes. I have seen this on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and many other places. We decided to give it a shot. The family is still mulling over the final answer on whether this was really good or not. One son who doesn’t like eggs loves them. The best part is that there are only 2 ingredients in the pancakes.
Through this journey, I expect to be trying new things and taking chances. This was one something new we tried.
It has been a crazy week, but even though the numbers on the scale didn’t change, the transformation is still underway.
